Rosella 0
This is HIGH-larious!!! This is the best ad yet I've seen for Hung. This is a New Zealand billboard for the show which is just beginning to air down under (pardon the pun, lol!) http://www.bestadsontv.com/outdoor_details.php?id=27090 Such a lovely ad. Imagine if we had that billboard in America!
mediumfan 0
Are you kidding? That billboard would never even get put up in America. People here are too straitlaced and uptight. Or rather everybody's worried about offending someone else's delicate sensibilities. That's why a show like this could only make it on a premium cable channel in the US. But it sure is fun to think about. It would be such a mess if someone put that billboard up here. There would be people demanding the show be pulled off. I would hate for that to happen. sidewaysgaze 0
U.K. Hung review; 4 out 5 stars: "Thomas Jane is excellent, balancing desperation and loneliness with a canny honesty about what he can offer the world. It’s easy to see why he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance." http://channelhopping.onthebox.com/2010/02...w-supersize-me/ and Hung overview at U.K. site: "falls more into that awkward comedy drama zone, rather than being consistentlylaugh-out loud funny, but has some great lines, well-drawn characters, and does a good job of detailing a suburban America that can't quite believe it's really having to face up to the recession" http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tva...g-channel-4-hbo and Blurb about Hung at same site: "...opening episode is filled with pathos, good humour, satire and a great lead performance from Thomas Jane." http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/201...mys-people-hung Jen

sidewaysgaze 0
More U.K. blurbs about Hung: "So what makes it any good? For the most part, the acting of Thomas Jane (who plays main character Ray Drecker)." http://www.theyorker.co.uk/news/film/4379 and "...a potentially lewd US comedy proves rather sweet..." http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...-4-1912814.html and "Thomas Jane manages to get the audience to empathise with his character and understand why a one time married, school teacher with children would now consider becoming a male escort." http://late-night-tv.suite101.com/article....rs-on-channel-4 and An amusing article about how TV can help in real life, with a brief reference to Tom and Hung: "Take a tip from Thomas Jane in Hung - even a gigolo won't succeed in his career unless he's got a great suit to take off." http://www.todayonline.com/Plus/Television...s-guide-to-life Jen

sidewaysgaze 0
Here's a very short Hung review: "Crucially, the opening episode gets the tone — light, sad and sympathetic — exactly right, setting the scene for any number of unusual encounters in the future..." http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol...icle7029194.ece Jen
mediumfan 0
Hey, I don't know if anyone has posted this here yet. It's a slightly older interview with Thomas from last year about Hung and a little about Dark Country. Thomas' wicked sense of humor is on vivid display and it's a fun little read. http://uinterview.com/uqa/coldplay-tops-grammy-noms-67 Sorry if it's already been posted. sidewaysgaze 0
I think someone had asked when Hung, season 2, was going to air in the U.S., and I found this info online: "True Blood, Entourage and Hung would all be back for an additional season. That would make a Season 3 for Blood a Season 2 for Hung and a Season 7 for Entourage. All series will return...June." http://tv.ign.com/articles/100/1009349p1.html Jen

sidewaysgaze 0
Hung is coming on a Norwegian channel, under the translated title: "A Well Equipped Man" ... Bwhahaha!! That is too funny!! Jen
Nighthawk 0
Haha. I just saw that too Recoil. It premieres today on NRK, which is the biggest TV-channel over here. So it's alot more available in a way (before it's been sent on Channel + or something), in terms that the "regular-joe" has a much bigger chance of watching it randomly, since everyone has NRK. I think the title "A well equipped man" is very likely to catch peoples attention as well. Can't wait for season 2!
mediumfan 0
I've been rewatching the first season of Hung this weekend and I'd forgotten just how smart and funny it is. I don't know if I had just forgotten or if it had just escaped me before but in watching the second episode, I had to laugh out loud at the irony of Ray's first meeting with Lenore. Especially after Tanya had just been giving him instructions on "how women think" and what they want, then the first woman he meets as a "happiness consultant" is the complete and total opposite of everything Tanya had told him. She's pushy, controlling, bossy, demanding, and she even tells him that she "thinks like a man". Poor Ray. He was so totally out of his element and she rode him like he was a green horse she was trying to break to saddle! I loved his line about her - She gave more orders than a four-star general. Lol!! Can't wait for season two. Gotta finish rewatching season one first though.
sidewaysgaze 0
I'll have to watch the whole season again too, especially before the start of the 2nd season. Speaking of which, here's a short article that mentions Hung is now filming in Detroit: "Actors from the HBO series "Hung" have been spotted around Metro Detroit recently, as they film episodes of the upcoming season." http://www.mlive.com/entertainment/detroit...ming_secon.html Jen
