  1. I finally - finally saw the bitter end of this film!! I had seen almost the whole film months ago, but I missed the very last crucial minute of it. Now I've seen it and I'm crushed... Anyway, I think it's running on Showtime and has been starting this month, so if you get that service, you can see the film! Just be prepared to be crushed... Emotionally, that is. Jen
  2. Happy Birthday jayesse8!! Enjoy your day. Jen
  3. Here's link for the vid for "Crank" by Catherine Wheel. Love the churning guitars and dreamy, but propulsive sound, and how it all cranks up to a blistering bit of guitar at 2mins30secs...Ah, oldies, but goodies... Crank this up for full effect (and don't even watch the video; just soak up the sound): Jen
  4. Not sure if the link to this interview with Tom 'n' Tim and Red Fly Studio CEO Dan Borth has been posted yet...so here it is! "Originating from a dream Thomas Jane had one night Bad Planet is more than a pulp sci-fi comic as it tackles some rather major themes while trying to entertain people. “The idea of a hostile takeover being kind of nature’s way of culling the weak is a theme that I think stems from the idea that the human desire for violence and destruction will turn out to be our weakness on a universal scale,” said Thomas Jane in an interview with Shogun Gamer." http://shogu
  5. Okay, sorry for cross-posting this, since it's also in the RAW Studios section, Rusty Blades thread of this Forum, but I'm just too psyched to leave only one message about the fact that I got the chance to interview Tom for the Rusty Blades EP for the music site I write for, Delusions Of Adequacy! Tom is sooo crazy-busy, yet he took the time to reply to all my pestering questions. I really appreciate that. You can read the interview at this direct link, and please, feel free to spread the word and link around so that more peeps find out about this EP and what Tom's up to! "Best kno
  6. I have to say, Tom is a man of his word. Not that I doubted it. It's just that he has sooo much on his plate. He'd agreed to do an interview with me for the music site Delusions Of Adequacy, where I write, and lo and behold, he's delivered with a straight-shootin' interview about the Rusty Blades person(a). Tom went down some interesting byways in the interview, talking about love and AMDFASH. Here's the direct link to it. Feel free to plaster it around the internet so it gets lots o' views: "Best known for starring in The Punisher and HBO’s Hung, the actor/director/RAW Studios me

  9. Link to detailed review of LOL: "Thomas Jane and Demi Moore are the real anchors of the film, playing the parents of Cyrus’ character with opposite approaches. Jane is the cool father that shows up whenever his kid needs a life lesson and whenever he suddenly has an urge to reconnect with his ex-wife and Moore plays the caring mother that is described as overprotective, but really just a mom that cares about her daughter’s well-being. LOL is almost a watchable film because of their performances, yet the familiarity of the story holds it back from becoming something special. I’m surpris

  15. Link to brief update on Mag. Death, as well as Tom's possible move from actor to director in the future. "I'm not even sure if I'm going to continue with the acting thing too much longer. I guess my spirit's been moving into the direction of creating my own stuff for a number of years now, with RAW Studios, writing, and creating my own comic books." Later on Jane elaborated, saying, "They just don't make the movies I'd be good in."" http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/news/thomas-janes-a-magnificent-death-from-a-shattered-hand-nick-nolte-jeremy-irons-jgiro.php Jen
  16. Link to detailed article about Tom and RAW Studios w/ quotes from Tom: "Thomas Jane isn't some comic industry poseur, a celebrity cashing in on the graphic novel bandwagon. 20. I totaly agree! Plus, the original French movie was a hit and had some substance, or at least good performances and modern day issues. I saw it a couple of weeks ago (with bad English translations) and it was good for its niche. I haven't seen the "Hollywood" version yet though... If Tom has the role I think he has in the French one, then he's not in it a whole lot though; maybe 1/12th or 1/16th of the movie...? Oh, well! Better than no Tom! Jen
