Urgh, it's times like these that I wish I lived in California...heck, I wish I lived there all the time!
Here's some info I've scrounged up from online:
It looks like it's going to be crazy-difficult to get into this screening of Mutant Chronicles at the San Diego Comic Con!
Here's a link to the Con schedule highlights from Film School Rejects:
http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/comic-con...ule-is-here.php
and here's what they have for Mutant Chronicles, on Saturday, July 26:
"10:00-12:00 World Premiere! Mutant Chronicles— Special “work-in-progress” feature film screening hosted by stars Thomas Jane (The Mist), Ron Perlman (Hellboy II), and Devon Aoki (Sin City). This is the first public showing in our hemisphere of this steampunk action-adventure. A disparate squad of former enemy soldiers undertakes a suicide mission deep into the seething heart of the otherworldly mutant scourge bent on human extinction. Unrated, uncut, unreal. Q&A with cast, director Simon Hunter (Lighthouse), and producer Edward R. Pressman (The Crow). Room 6CDEF"

I just saw at Ain't It Cool News that this past Saturday Tom gave 50 seats to the Mutant Chronicles screening to Quint to give away to some verrry lucky peeps! Here's the (too late) link to that excitement:

Well, the movie is coming out here this week...Who knows when it's coming to a cinema near me (If at all)
I think we like the same movies, "Mr. Pegg", ahem... Just wanted to also say that I hope The Mist opens at a theater near you and that you get a chance to see it on the big screen. It's the way to go for all the creepy crawlies and scaries in the film, especially near the end... - you'll be 'running scared' once you see that mindblowing ending!

The video for Nothing Natural by Lush:
Miki and Emma, the main singers and song-writers of the U.K. band, have expressed their extreme dislike for the glamorous look of the video, but I think it reflects the alluring nature of the tune...
For a more stripped down, live feel, check out the video Superblast! by Lush - exhilerating:

Thanks so much for that pic of Tom and Patricia sveinx!
That's one of my most fave of them.
Here's a recent pic of Tom from the Hancock movie premiere:

Anyway, check out what Ron Perlman's said about the screening while promoting his Hellboy II here:

Tom was really cool and replied to my question about if he's up for the role of Jonah Hex, etc..., at the start of all this commotion, and here's what he, very succinctly, said:
“not true. I geeked out and of course it leaked out.”

Just dug up a link to an article that says studio is holding up release of Mutant Chronicles, with no U.S. release date set yet, but with a December premiere in Russia! ... not sure if this info is official at all, but that's the latest I've seen online.
Here's the link:

Trent Reznor rocks... cause he's giving us all FREE MUSIC!
I DLed his Ghosts I-IV and The Slip albums for free off his site. Just great music.
Also, I am fond of a song called Down Boy from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ever since I heard it on LIFE. The rest of that band's music is kind of really ehhhhhhh for me.
I've always liked Trent in "Victorian gothic" mode.

Oh, and about Yeah Yeah Yeahs, check out their Is Is EP if you like Down Boy. There are some other good ones on that EP...

Hey kwiat_skye - Thanks for adding that info here from my Group on Tom.
I was going to add it asap, but then work got in the way...
Anyway, this is the 1st I've heard of this short film - and I'd love to know more about it. It's so hard to get short films released to the general public though...
I hope some peeps here can go to this screening and fill us in with the deets. I hope this gets press coverage!

Hey Raffi -
I just posted that rumor to my TJ 2 Yahoo Group - and I'm trying to get official word. Isn't that an amazing pic of Tom? I hope this does work out.

Thanks for the link James. It's so cool that the JN episodes can be accessed online - that they're still there.

Awesome poster - and Tom's front 'n' center!
Love the color scheme and grittiness - a balance of darkness and light.

Just FYI, Tom was at the grand opening of SugarFish in Marina Del Rey, California on Monday, June 9.
Photos at Thomas Jane 2 Yahoo Group (like on main page).

Here's some official news from Tom: "we’re still looking for a director. Should have one by next week.

Cool!

This isn't from an official source, but I saw online that supposedly Tom and Ving Rhames are to star in "Give 'Em Hell, Malone!". Some deets here:

Can anyone confirm or deny?

I'm listening to the album stream at MySpace for the new Ladytron album - and it's not hitting me right off the bat. Some stuff sounds *really* familiar, some of it is catchy, but I'm not being grabbed and shaken by the collar - but maybe that's the point of Ladytron...
Portishead has their long-awaiting third album out, but I haven't heard it yet. I've read great and not so great things about it. I do like the 1st single "Machine Gun"...

I love Pat Benatar's hard as diamond vocals. While I really like this song by her, my fave is Shadows of the Night, because it's a softer edge in verses, than goes all out vocally on chorus, plus it tells a good story:
