  1. Thanks for getting back to me Tom (good to see you on the boards) and for your take on it xNLx. Can't wait for those players to hit the market. Oh, and I never said what I thought about the movie. Great throw back to old school noir. It was always a genre I thought Tom was meant for. Now bring on Give 'Em Hell Malone already!
  2. Superbeast, I agree with everything you said about PWZ. The game is just an arena shooter, a lot like the old Unreal Tournament games. There is a story mode but it is basically 4 comic pages that are panned over and have voices reading the dialog balloons. It's a joke really. The structure of the game is that you go into a bland location and just kill everyone else and have the highest score. It is not a story driven game at all and the fact that it is in first-person perspective I think detracts from the game. Seeing the Punish kick all that ass in the first game is what made it so great. To put my two cents in about the other Punisher game, it was amazing. My favorite part about it was all the cameos. I mean the way they even threw Matt Murdock in there without ever mentioning Daredevil was great. It shows just how good the writing is. Rather than try to force characters from the Marvel Universe in there they were smart about it and only used characters where they fit. Matt worked perfect with his law skills and made sense within the context of the story. Anyway, fantastic game. Check it out. PWZ, pass it up. You aren't missing anything. Andy
  3. Hey Mike, Thanks a lot for the info. That's great to hear. One of my all time favorite actors and my favorite artist are definitely a couple of people I would like to meet while at the show. If anyone else has more input from their experiences, keep it coming. Andy
  4. Hey everyone. I thought we may as well get this topic going sooner or later. This is going to be my first time going to Comic-Con and I had some questions. I was lucky enough to be one of the few who got a ticket in time to attend the preview night so I was curious what that is all about. As far as autographs go, I know that they have scheduled ones and as far as those ones go I was wondering if you would have time to take a picture with the individual or if you were rushed along too fast to do so. I know RAW has a booth there but how often are the likes of Steve, Tim, and Tom going to be around? (Tim or Tom, if you could give some input on this topic that would be much appreciated as well) Do you have time to talk with, take pictures, get autographs from the people that are hanging around at their booths? I'm sure there is a huge schedule of events as we get closer to July but I appreciate any input I can get from people on this board who have previously attended the event. Being from North Dakota (holds for laughter) we don't really get opportunities to go to conventions like tis. I just want to make it the best experience that I can. Also, for most events how early would you say you would want to be in line, on average? I don't want to miss much either. Thanks a lot to anyone who can help. Topics like this are why I love coming to this board. Andy
  5. I'm sure this has been asked already but I havn't been on here for many months...Why wasn't the 3-D version released on dvd? I know the home theater 3-D isn't nearly as good as the movie theater 3-D but it still could have been a cool feature. I'm sure it has to do with time and money but I was just curious. Thanks.
  6. I don't know if anyone else around these boards is a fan or has ever read The Walking Dead, but I just have to say that this would be great material for a HBO or Cinemax series. And the reason im posting this thought here is because I know that the people of this forum are made of Thomas Jane fans, Comic fans, and Horror fans. My first thought when I picked up the book and started reading it was that Thomas Jane would be the perfect fit for the role of Officer Rick Grimes. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has thought this. Also, let's talk about this badass horror comic! Andy
  7. It must be official. Rotten Tomatoes has it listed on their homepage as coming soon. It has a date of 1/23 next to it. This must be it ladies and gentlemen!!! I am so damn excited and happy and all those other warm and fuzzy emotions. Even if it's just a limited release it still means it will make it's way to dvd soon enough. Congratulations Tom!
  8. Sorry to hear about this Thomas. You have my best wishes.
  9. It's way too damn early to get into it now with a review but here are a couple of quick statements. Ray is fuckin' amazing as Frank. He IS Frank. I loved Jane's performance but I have to say that I think Ray was just made for this role. Like Ebert said, it's a well made movie it's just lacking in plot and dialouge. It looks great, Lexi's direction is amazing as always, and most of the cast surprised the hell out of me. Ray was amazing but I also really loved the relationship portrayed between LBJ and Jigsaw. It was just so damn real. LBJ stole the show in almost every scene he was in. Also, I found that Microchip was cast perfectly and worked well within the story. The action was over the top which means it's just right for a Punisher film. So all in all I would have to say that other than some plotting issues, this is a great Punisher film and should make fans happy. The lighting wasn't at all an issue and Jigsaw's make-up never looked too outragouse. I sure as hell had fun. I guess that was acctually my full review but oh well. Andrew
  10. LOL! that guy Bradstreet is pretty good. I loved the feel of the Lurkers poster. That had a very noir feel to it. The book itself was horror-noir which is awsome. Im so sad that that film fell through. Sorry to go off subject. Anyways, I hope Tim does some posters and I'm glad your going back to a little more of the old noir style. No films since then have matched the witty dialogue that could be found in a noir. This movie is like a wet-dream come true!
  11. That's great to hear. I can't wait to see this one. Or DC for that matter!
  12. So will this have a Noir kind of feel to it or will it have balls to the wall action for like 90% of the film like Crank or Shoot 'Em Up? Or both? Either way, congratulations on finding a director. Can't wait to hear more about this.
  13. I've played Red Dead Revolver, GUN, Darkwatch, and Call Of Juarez. Can anyone tell me of any others? Red Dead Revolver and GUN are by far my favorite ones. RDR was very Sergio Leone (the lead character anyways). I loved it.
  14. I love finding new music I havn't heard before. I'm a huge fan of Folk Rock but if you want some cool sounds try out Tom Vek http://youtube.com/watch?v=-Nx1ocgnd4A and http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pv4HemhMHbA&feature=related and one last Tom Vek one http://youtube.com/watch?v=XDy6ILWLl5g&feature=related. Also another band to check out for something new is Godspeed You! Black Emporer and . They also did the awsome musical piece from 28 Days Later towards the end of the film. I know I posted a lot but I like it and hope you do too. Awsome.
  15. I gotta call bullshit on that. Someone made a torrent of it or what? DAMN PIRATES!!!!!!
  16. I would love that. You should start working on this right away James. The graphic novel sounds like it would be the most probable one to happen. I hope someone else has heard your idea or had the same idea and is making this happen. Thanks James, now I'm all excited about a product that doesn't even exist
  17. Just go to the Thomas Jane part of the forum and then in the section that list Photos of Tom, Thomas Jane, and Introductions, just click on the one that is only titled Thomas Jane. It has a sub-caption that says something like "it was bound to happen, post questions for Tom here." Just click on that topic and there ya go. He isn't on here all that often but with a little prayer he might answer your question (or might have already, just check the previously asked questions). Hope that helped you. If that was too confusing then here's a direct link. http://rawstudios.invisionzone.com/index.p...0&start=100 Also, welcome to the forum Paul.
  18. I liked Shoot Em' Up too. Thought it was hillarious and the gun fights were very well done. I didn't take it seriously because you wern't supposed to, at all. Back to the Punisher though. I hope they can release a red-band trailer so I can see some of this "awsome gore".
  19. She was also deadly little Miho in a little film called Sin City.
  20. I just finished watching Outpost and I have to say that I am impressed. The Nazi bunker that most of the movie takes place in looks nothing short of amazing. The direction was very well done as well as the costumes, makeup, and just production values over-all. I was expecting a crappy straight to dvd horror movie that the shelves seem to be littered with these days but I have to say that I was wrong. I thought the movie looked great and was well made. It also had what I thought was a great line. "See, the bright light... it ain't heaven, son. It's just a muzzle flare." I digress. Ray's performance did not impress me all that much. He wasn't bad by any means but I didn't really find him to be that great either. He looks pretty badass firing a weapon but I just don't think he really emotes that well. Let's hope that the Punisher is something he can delve into, otherwise we may be in for a disappointing interpretation of Frank Castle, or at least a shallow one.
  21. Jen, you are a GODDESS!!!!!!!!! Thank you.
  22. Does he have annoying hobo neighbors or are we free of the neighbors thing all together this time?
  23. I have been a naysayer (and am still very skeptical) but I have to say, and I'm sure I'm in the minority, I like the wardrobe for the Punisher. By that I mean just the character of the Punisher, some of the other costumes look a little, shall I say loud? Other than the neck guard though I think Frank Castles gear looks pretty badass. Very tactical looking kind of like Janes gear at the end of the '04 Punisher.
  24. Thanks for the link krostah and thanks TJ for putting it up on your page. I am soooo excited about this movie. I hope they get a release pretty soon.
  25. People should just stop saying such and such an actor is going to be the next whoever. NO THEY WONT!!! Harrison is Harrison, there will NEVER be another. Bale is Bale and that's that. They are both good in their own respect but every actor is different and has their strong suits. I just think to each his own. Let's not say someone is going to be the next Harrison because to me that is disrespectful to Ford. Sorry to fly off the handle.
