Blimey, TJ is going to be a very busy man. Brad is doing well actually after working with Kiefer on The Confession and was on Twitter talking about casting for this back in April so I am stoked that TJ has joined this.

Tweets from April, Wouldnt it be a real scream if I had managed to help in some way?, not that I would have done but it would have been a little funny to have maybe helped in some way.

Cool. Sounds like a really fun project. I have to admit, I have been hoping to see Tom in a project like this for a while.

Yay! Glad to see that this is finally official. I remember when Brad Mirman first brought up possible casting choices. I almost passed out when I saw TJ as a possibility.

It’s also very cool to see that Kiefer Sutherland is also going to be in it. Though, according to Mirman’s Twitter, he said, "Okay, this is getting a little ahead of itself. Kiefer is 'attached' to do a few scenes in #Sleightofhand' pending his availability.”

Very excited to see Sleight of Hand!

I was surprised to find out about Mel Gibson as a possibility.

Actor Tchéky Karyo has joined the cast. He'll be playing a ruthless crime boss.

It would be nice to see Mel in this, I miss Mel on the big screen.

Maybe that was somthing Tom brought up. I know he mentioned that he called Mel up before filming Dark Country.

IDMB reporting that the budget for this is $25m which isn’t bad and that the filming is set to start end July/Beg Aug. (not sure on the accuracy of this at this point)

hey! so we are looking right now for an actor - a NAME actor, although doesn't have to be huge - to play my partner in this film. the gist is, we are a couple of not-so-smart GOOMBAHS that have to fly to paris to recover something for their boss. of course, neither of us has ever left the Joisey Shore before, so mayhem ensues.

>

WHO SHOULD PLAY MY PARTNER?

Mel Gibson was gonna do it, but he dropped out.

We shouldn't have a big name like that anyway, time is running out we have to cast FAST!

going out to Sam Jackson on Monday.

I need ideas!!

thx!

Seconded on Sam Rockwell. Love that guy! Moon is so amazing.

I think Barry Pepper would also be a great choice.

Mads Mikkelsen would be cool, though I don't know if he could do a Joisey goombah voice, who knows though. It would be kinda cool to see you and Ray Stevenson share the screen, I think he has the chops to pull it off.

Jensen Ackles is another choice, that guy has charisma to spare. He would have made a great Captain America is Chris Evans hadn't taken the role.

That would be awesome.

Another pick could be James Marsden.

I second Denis Leary...

I can so see him playing as your parnter...the two of you as a duo team would be hilarious!

Both of you playing as not the sharpest tools in the shed/not the fastest cars in the race...would be a scream -- just ridonkulous!!!...LOL

Can't you just invision it people?

Ooh - I second JWeb's votes (Rockwell, Fich, Walken) but my top pick for a Joisey Goombah with Tom would be Bill Fichtner - I love his acting so much!!!

Or the deity that is Samuel L. Jackson, but that would take it to a whole nutha level ... ;)
