Hung, Season 2

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone -

I wanted to set up this thread in advance for this Sunday night when the new, 2nd season of Hung starts, that way those of us who've seen the episodes can chat about developments here and go into detail freely about all that's happening. :)

So, feel free to post stuff here that has plot spoilers without fear of reprisal!

I'll be watching the new season, but will be lagging behind a bit because I'll be getting to see the show at a later date; not first-hand unfortunately... Hopefully you all get HBO yourselves and can see the new episodes asap. :D

Jen

PS Anything that's not 'spoilerish', I figure you can still post in that other Hung thread, so that everyone can go and view that.

First episode was really good. Set up a lot of interesting things for the season. Tanya's growing a backbone, so Lenore better watch hers, lol!

And Ray using his new tricks on Jessica. That was kind of a surprise. Setting up a possible romantic triangle there.

And what is up with Damon and Darby? Those two are kinda starting to creep me out a little.

I still love Ray's crazy ex-mother-in-law. She's a hoot!

Great start to the new season. I'm excited to see where it's going.

( I know I said I wasn't going to get HBO, Jen, but I couldn't stand it. I had to be able to see the show. I couldn't wait until it comes out on dvd next year!)

Loved it. I felt for Ray because the first time my wife was pregnant, it was really hard to be intimate. It

s silly thinking back, but I was petrified  Being a nurse, she had to remind me it was an impossible situation.

I loved it too! I'm so excited it's finally airing and I'm home to be able to see it. When season 1 was airing I was in Kuwait---aahhhh the memories. LOL

Damon and Darby are freaking me out a little too, but I read somewhere that Damon is going to develop a crush on Darby---hmmmm, that's interesting. Wonder how Ray's gonna react to that one!

I've read that too, about Damon and Darby, but it might be short-lived because in an interview with Charlie Saxton who's Damon he mentioned he'd be meeting all sorts of different people this season and maybe finding out more about himself that way... We'll see. :)

Good for you, Jen. I don't know how long I'll be able to keep up with it, but at least I'll get to see part of the season (hopefully most or all of it).

Just curious if anyone else is watching the show this season. After last night's episode, I'm wondering what others think of the direction the show seems to be taking.

Mainly I'm puzzled by the introduction of the Mike dynamic to the Tanya/Ray/Lenore mix. I wonder if the date with Frances is going to be a one-time thing, or if it will lead to a possible romance with her, and maybe put an end to Tanya's plans to get Ray to bed her. Or is it possible that Mike might be drawn into their little ring and be used again to fill in for Ray. Maybe even become another pony in their stable?

Thoughts?

That's a good question. I was wondering that too. I think the relationship will go on because that was going to be Ray and Tanya's out from Lenore. I really like the focus on Damon. He is getting uncomfortably hilarious. I really want to see where they take him. For some reason, I keep thinking he'll end up trying to come on to Tanya.

Also, the one thing that has been lingering from season one is, who was the first customer when Ray was Big Donnie? There so many possibilities, and so many fun ways to take it. I wonder if this will ever be brought up. Two of the ideas that we've tossed around at work are the Principal or one of the twins.

Yeah, Damon is becoming the comic relief on the show, in a sort of "elephant in the room" kind of way, in the sense that he's a little weird and nobody really wants to come out and say anything about it, but it's sort of hinted at every week with his extremely weird, borderline psychotic fixation with his sister, and the gay thing (is he or isn't he?). But the unusual friendship he's struck up with Tanya kinda makes me think he's gonna fall for her and eventually end up hitting on her. I can see that becoming a sort of comic "fatal attraction/to die for" thing.

I like that they've brought Mike and Frances together. It was kind of sweet to see these two lonely people find each other. I'd like to see them stick together, even if it means that Tanya loses her "white whale" of a client.

Well, now that Lenore knows Ray's Ex, she can use that against him to get what she wants. Now they will never get rid of the bitch.

Plus, I read that she will bringing in new men to the fold.

As for the pregnant lady script, that seemed a little distasteful to me. Could've skipped that episode. Sorry Tom.

I thought the pregnant lady story line was great. This too will put some pressure on Ray because in the end, she reminded him of his wife. Ray was having missgivings about the situation knowing that he was a part of her and her ex not getting back together. Sooner or later the prostitution thing will have to end, he's only in it so far to get his house fixed and I think in his eyes, once he's on his feet again, he can get her back (I hope not though, Ray deserves better).

something has to happen to keep Ray down and keep him prostituting. Otherwise, where's the story gonna go?

I agree with you JWeb---Ray does deserve better than Jessica--but he loves her...
