Oooh, sweet - I saw Tom 'n' Jane Adams being verbally accosted by the ladies of The View!!

Tom was interviewed today on TV and he was all relaxed with laid-back posture and sparkling eyes and tantalizing grin, two-way flirting with Barbara Walters. There were so many of the women of The View talking at once that it was difficult for Tom and Jane to get a word in edge-wise! It looks like everyone was having fun on that set... ;)

I read his posture as "dominant male" the way he was spread out taking up as much space on that couch as possible.

It's difficult to call these things interviews. How do five women interview two people in, what, five or ten minutes max? But Thomas looked good and happy and confident. I had to make myself watch the show, though, because I really don't care what any of those broads thinks about anything.

yeah THE VIEW ain't really my cuppa tea, but i had a blast with Jane Adams and Barbara W and Whoopi G. afterwards they all said the 'interview' went really great and invited us back for more sometime soon. i think it's a sign that it wasn't mentioned that much on the boards here - a sign that you guys aren't real 'VIEW' material. that's a good thing!

Yeah, in terms of "interview shows" I prefer Letterman, Craig Ferguson or Jonathan Ross (from the UK) :P

I was never really into these kind of shows anyway. As the name suggests, it's just all "show".

I used to quite like Jay Leno, though.

Why is that a "good" thing, TJ? There's some women on here too. ;) I will admit that I do occasionally watch The View, but only when something that really interests me is on it. Otherwise, I mostly find them to be like a bunch of cackling hens talking over each other and half the time you can't hear what's being said. But that interview was a really fun one to watch.

Sometimes I can't take all the escalated talking over one another that the ladies do, but really it's just like a family gathering or holiday meal!

Tom, so glad you and Jane Adams had a good time!

I thought you were both warm, funny, thoughtful, and just plain delish!!!

Yes, lots of flirty energy with B-Dub, cute anecdotes, relaxed vibe, and Sherry gave you a bit of a hard time (so to speak ;)) - Whoopi asked great actorly questions about what made you and Jane take the roles - I loved Jane's answer, quietly, "well, I like to work, so I took the part." :)

Well, I'll watch anything Tom's in, for better or for worse - I would have enjoyed the interview better if the "hostesses" weren't all talking at once and there was time to breathe and answer a question in full. It's just all too rushed and the ladies (well, the producers) want sound bites and not long, thoughtful answers. Oh, well. It was still fun to watch...

Saw this at Flickr and thought it was really cool:

Love what the guy (who wasn't a fan, by the way) said: Thomas Jane was giving autographs, and while I didn't even know who he was, I wanted to get a shot of what it was like for autograph hounds. You stand in line, pay, and get shooed away by security. Tom was cool enough to announce that he would sign for free.

I love when I read someone I admire is kind to his fans. It makes me proud of being a fan too.

Eve.

P.S.: There are many great pictures of Jane at Flickr. I'm sure if I can post them here since they don't belong to me. But I guess I can post the links, right? So here we go...

Four pix of TJ strolling around outside at Comic Con:

and

TJ should be the main pic on this 3rd page; if not, find his pic on 3rd page, at top:

and

Scroll through pix with right arrow and Tom's pic is 2nd to last one:

I got to meet Tom this weekend at Comic-Con when he was visiting his pal William Stout whose booth was right next to mine. I'm friends with Mike Hess, and have known Tim Bradstreet for several years, after a night of heavy drinking at Pittsburgh Comic Con many years back. Tom was busier than I was manning my booth during the show, so I was thrilled when I saw him right next door. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of Tom, and it's hard to not come off as a fanboy in that setting asking for pics, although I'm confident Tom would have been cool with it. I'll include a link to a shot of my booth before the show opened.

Great to meet you Tom, maybe we can work on something together in the future.

Tom and Patricia attended an art exhibit of David Lynch's work at the Griffin Gallery in Santa Monica last night. I've added some pics to Jen's Yahoo 1 group and also to my Patricia groups. Here's a couple.
