  1. Ha ha ha! My first thought was that whomever was responsible, they urgently need Photoshop lessons. (Am now desperately hoping it wasn't you, Geoff!)
  2. I have no idea what you mean!
  3. Dude! Missed opportunity to say... "That's a negative" !! Feeling jet-lagged by any chance?
  4. I'm waiting for THE quote....

    I JUST...

Tennant was such a brilliant Doctor, wasn't he? I really didn't think he could be topped... and then Matt Smith happened! It was just a shame that Smith fell victim to Steven Moffat's awful tenure. Tennant had some of the best-ever episodes though; Blink, Girl in the Fireplace, Human Nature/Family of Blood, Midnight. And the best companion - Donna! I really liked Ecclestone too. I wanted to like Capaldi, as he's such a cool guy and fantastic actor, but with the exception of one or two episodes, his run was utterly terrible, IMO. Jodie Whittaker is another fantastic actor but I couldn't even get through her series. It was truly appalling, and I loathe all the self-conscious box-ticking going on. I also really dislike that she has to have an entire team around her. Why? Because she's female, and therefore not capable of sorting shit out by herself? Because she's female, and therefore the showrunners wanted to deflect from her gender because they had made an unpopular decision? Because she's female, and therefore needs to have a 'family'? It would have been far better, IMO, to have made her a sole traveller for her series. And to get some good writers on board. And to stop trying so hard to be so.... kooky. Or maybe I just have to accept that after being a lifelong Whovian, I may have outgrown it! (Although I still hugely enjoy re-watching 9, 10, & 11.) Still love Torchwood - apart from that dreadful American series!
  6. And it will be our pleasure too, new friend! x
  7. Amazed donkey balls, I hope. So.... "that's a negative", then! Been waiting for days to use that one!
  8. Double post - bugger. Please delete!
  9. That 'falling cam' vid; quite apart from the smooth transition from dropping to panning out (is that the right term?), which was rather amazing, it gave me veritable goosebumps because I'm 99% certain I know what was going on in that sequence. As much as I am looking forward to S4 (and I really, truly am), I can't wait for S5!
  10. Aww, that's so sweet, and I am so happy for you that it was worth the wait. I can imagine how you must have been feeling at the time... and I bet you're still buzzing now! Good for you! And good for Tom for being so kind! Hope you're going to stick around, and join in here!
  11. Have you never seen Schindler's List or Iron Man 3 (for example)?
  12. Definitely a similarity...
  13. Happy burpday, Gambit - may the fleas of a thousand camels infest the nether regions of your enemies!

It's SciFi - I'm in! Could be great, could be cheesy nonsense, could be utter tosh... but I'm willing to take one for the team!
  15. Robot Chicken is great, so much fun. Haven't watched it for aaaages though!
  16. That ol' drunken bum needs to get his shit together, stop puking on people's carpets, and lay down some more choonz. His fandom demands it!
  17. Home gets me every time. Not just the subject matter but the beautiful cinematography and the music. I have all three series' soundtracks on Spotfiy, and that piece of music is my most played track, I think! Always gives me goosebumps! I'm on my seventh re-watch, and watched The Butcher of Anderson Station in the bath this morning! (I balance my laptop on the basin, turn off the main lights, and fairy lights on, plug in my earbuds... total immersion! Literally, ha ha!)
  18. Nice to see my namesake there! Ha ha! I was thinking Rusty Blades too! How cool would that be?!
  19. Have you started yet? I've finished them all now, and have gone back to LW audio book, and it's bugging the heck out of me that JM keeps mispronouncing names, and hasn't got into his stride with the different character voices! He gets far, far better in later books, though.

“Anti-Life answers the age-old question of what would it would look like to come-of-age in space while being hunted by blood-thirsty aliens,” said Drake. Will be good to see Tom back in space... but y'know, that body armour isn't going to save anyone. I thought at first that it was going to be about the Anti-Life Equation... pretty glad it's not! I remember watching a docu about Industrial Light and Magic, and apparently, some of the spacecraft in Star Wars were made from Fairy Liquid bottles! I've made props (theatrical, not movie) from all kinds of junk - pretty standard practice. The Expanse has a ton of re-purposed stuff in it; I've recognised a fair amount of photography gear, for example! I shall add Anti-Life to my ever-growing to-watch list. Thanks for the heads-up (and the great pics) Geoff!

I loved Heath as Joker - he was perfect. But Joaquin is a fantastic actor too, so I'm looking forward to seeing how he's handled the role. However, with limited time on my hands, it's good to know that it's not essential to see it on the big screen, so I shall wait for the digi-download, and watch it on my own big screen at home! Thanks Geoff and AI, for the feedback. And speaking of cinema, tonight we're going to see Maleficent. Yay! Really looking forward to it... even if it does mean I won't be able to play The Outer Worlds this evening!

You're not wrong, Gail! I'm looking forward to what's going to be coming out of the Renegade stable, as it were. I am thrilled for Court and Tom, that they've been able to get this off the ground. And very grateful to you, Geoff, for being a part of it, and keeping us up to date (obvs for T&C to allow you to, of course). Congratulatory hugs all-round, methinks! xx
