Deep Blue Sea

I don't know if anyone else watches Parks and Recreation, but I do. Last night, one of the characters found the Deep Blue Sea DVD at someone's house and said that Deep Blue Sea is the best movie ever made. :)

I thought that was pretty random.

I love it when Deep Blue Sea is mentioned randomly (well, I guess not really, but it's always a nice surprise) in shows!

Here's a link to a list online about how Deep Blue Sea is one of the Ten Best Shark Attack Movies:

Here's the link to a review of Deep Blue Sea on BluRay:

"... the superior sound and sharper picture are incentive if you've never picked up this silly, but very enjoyable movie. And the chance to see the Samuel L. Jackson moment (you know the one I mean) looks great in higher definition."

and here's the link to the old Warner Bros. promo site for the film:

I haven't seen any BluRay releases ... are they capable of correcting what I consider a CGI flub on these re-releases?

They had that gorgeously scary and sleek mechanical Mako, then when they inserted some of the CGI, it reverts to a cartoonishly fat Great White, like the artists lost their reference point in the middle of the task or something - mostly the post SLJ scenes, I think. Another pivotal CGI moment is actually okay.

I guess we fans of the film must forever embrace the mysteriously switching species ;)

It's doubtful anything like that would be fixed, as it would probably costs too much money.

I was just hoping / wondering aloud because of techno-advances, but you're right - I can see how it would basically be re-doing the CGI work and print of the film that they do prior to initial release ...

ah well :(

Did you also notice that the 3 sharks also died in a verrrrrrrrrry similar way that the sharks in the first 3 Jaws movies did?

You know what I never gave that a thought but your right they did die a similar way like the ones in Jaws. And I loved the Jaw movies.

Deep Blue Sea 2..............The complete remake.

No TJ, thank god but actually looks like a bit of "Take your brain out, pop it on the sofa next to you and watch" type of nonsense.

Not sure why they made a "sequel," but our TJ wasn't gonna go near that water, again. ^_^

Well consider me impressed.

The licence plate Tom takes out of the tiger shark's mouth is the same as the licence plate taken out of the stomach of the shark killed in Jaws. Well done Renny, well done.

While looking up information about the soundstage at Rosarito (Baja Film Studios) I found this other article about the modified ending of DBS.

Few nice Instagram posts are going up tagging in Tom from the Q & A last night, looks like it went down a treat, just waiting to hear back from Tom if he got any.
