asimonep 0
I recently rediscovered a lot of music I haven't listened to in a while: Social Distortion, The Charlatans, My Bloody Valentine, The Cocteau Twins, Jesus and Mary Chain, Ministry, old INXS and Depeche Mode I'm glad to see that people are discovering The Dropkick Murphy's. One of Boston's best. They've had 2 different singers (the first was better!), so make sure you check out some older stuff. Another great Oi band is The Business. They have a great song called Guinness Boys.

irish46 0
Yeah, I love Gaelic storm, I got so lucky to meet them,,,before I knew who the hell they were! My daughter and I were doing a charity walk for diabetes in the Auburn Hills Michigan area. The walk took us through peoples back yards and different businesses. Each house or business would have food or refreshment for the walkers. It was a 7 mile walk in total with 3 or 4 different "REST AREAS" along the way. Near the end at one of the rest areas, we came on a house that had an Irish band playing in the back yard. I have no idea who owned the house or at that time who the band was, but man they were just CRANKIN' out an ass kickin' version of JOHNNY TARR. So I asked around and found out they were called GAELIC STORM. We hung out there awhile and at the end of the set they just walked out into the crowd and started to mingle. It was only after I got home and started to look them up that I found out how good they really were! Check out SOUND SHAM SOUND from the sawdoctors, it's freakin' great. James O'Brian 0
I've been listening to a fairly new band called Pagoda that is fronted by actor Michael Pitt. The band has a rather "Nirvana" vibe which is a bad thing. The music is great. Their first album has tracks that you can listen to over and over. The greats are "Death To Birth" "Fetus" and "Alone" Here's their myspace & official website: http://www.myspace.com/pagodamusic http://pagodaonline.com/ JO

Had to go through the cd's, most are still packed from the move. I forgot how much I love this album. Tiny Music: Songs From the Vatican Gift Shop Some of their best is on this album.
