Tim Bradstreet 0
I'm going to close this thread so I can post art updates without the usual talk-back gaps. I'll start a thread called "Hot Off The Boards - Feedback" if anyone wants to leave a comment. In fact, I'll post quick links to that thread at the end of every post for the sake of ease. The first illustration I'm rolling out there is this personal piece of Ron Perlman as Reinhardt from Blade II. I actually promised him this illustration a long time ago but only recently made time to do it. . . . And I get to kiss it goodbye Friday night when I see him. sniff, still, I had a BeeLast working on it. Tim Bradstreet 0
Here's the colored version courtesy of MR. Grant Goleash. Wednesday night I asked G if he could do me a solid and add color to this piece. I wanted to give Ron a more finished version as well. Grant came through on the rush job and did some gorgeous work. I handed over the stuff to Perlman last night and he was tickled to death. That made me feel real good. Here's a look. - TB PS - Big giant thanks to Grant!
Tim Bradstreet 0
Here is the first cover to the next Criminal Macabre story arc, "Cellblock 666". I was feeling less than satisfied (Steve as well) with the trade dress layout and design previously done by Dark Horse staff. I had issues with some things. But my editor Shawna Gore is so superkeen that she's allowing me to do all that myself now. There will still be a few things added like the Darkhorse logo, the creator credits and the pain-in-the-ass UPC code box. But the essential placement/treatment is now safely (for better or worse) in my control Anyway, Criminal Macabre #9, or Criminal Macabre: Cellblock 666 - 1 of 4. - TB Talkback -------> http://rawstudios.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=
Tim Bradstreet 0
Here's the new Punisher cover - Punisher MAX 58. Only 2 more to go . . . I'm hoping to get carte blanche on at least one of the last two. Anyway, had some fun with this one once I figured out how I wanted to show this scene. I spent way too long going through different permutations. Finally it came together. Hope you diggit. - TB
Tim Bradstreet 0
Hot off the boards comes this cover (black and white version) for Scalped #18 from Vertigo. My former editors on Hellblazer, Will Dennis and Casey Seijas came a calling recently for some fill-in work on this title. I'll be doing at least 3 issues while the regular cover artist, my good pal JOCK is hard at work on a new Hellblazer Graphic Novel. Jock's work is stunning and it's nice to try and jump into his shoes for a few issues. I had heard of but never read Scalped. I knew it had good buzz but nothing prepared me for how good it really is. My editors sent me 14 issues so I could digest some of it before beginning work. Wow. Writer Jason Aaron and artist R.M. Guera are my new favorite comics team. Great episodic story and the art is dirty, foul, grizzled, and BREATHTAKING. Guera is outstanding. Hope some of you are checking it out. I just received my ballot for the 2008 Eisners and Scalped is getting my vote for best ongoing series. Anyway, here is a look at the pen and ink version of Scalped 18 - Logo design by JOCK. - TB Talkback -------> http://rawstudios.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=
Tim Bradstreet 0
Adding a few new ones here and I'll start with the color version (if that's what it can be called) of the Scalped 18 cover. I tried unsuccessfully to get VERTIGO to go black and white with it but they wanted a color treatment. I came up with this which I feel compliments some of the techniques Jock has been using on his regular covers. Still keeps it graphic and doesn't tone down the punch of the black and white too much. - TB
Tim Bradstreet 0
Just to stay on the Scalped subject here for a space, here is the full color cover to Scalped 19. I'm loving this hard, bold, grit covered direction with these books. Got one more to do. I'll post here when it's complete. - TB
Tim Bradstreet 0
This is the cover to Punisher Max 59. One more to go and it will be my last Punisher for a while. I think I mentioned somewhere else that this composition represents me taking aim at finishing my run with issue #60 next month. Of course I didn't really plan on that. But after the fact, looking at it, it's taken on a new meaning for me. Hope you dig. Feel free to talk about this or any of the other works displayed in this thread here ---> http://rawstudios.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=295 The "Hot Off The Boards" feedback thread. - TB
Tim Bradstreet 0
Hopefully I'm not letting the cat out of the bag too soon. I finished this a while back but I haven't seen the image advertised in connection with the book's listing. Could be because Fox missed the window for submitting covers to the book trade. They need those things like 9 months in advance or something ludicrous like that. Anyway, here is my cover for Fox Atomic's "Nightmare Factory Volume II". It's mixed media - Digital, photo, illustration, hand painted watercolor textures, and some spit. This kind of thing is a nice departure from bending myself over my art table for days and I have fun with the graphic design elements. Art directed by Eric Lieb. - TB

Tim Bradstreet 0
Here's a peek at my last Scalped cover. I had a ball with these. I hope to bring this style to an ongoing comic series at some point. 'Cept I'd try and convince the publishers to print them all in glorious black and white Stick around folks . . . Gonna post the first look at my FINAL Punisher cover as regular cover dude on Punisher MAX here in just a day or two. Stay tuned. - TB
Tim Bradstreet 0
Here it is exclusively, the last of the regular Punisher run. Punisher Max #60. It's my (and Frank's) salute to the fans. I'll post a black and white too, coming up next. Thanks to all the fans and supporters of The Punisher for making over 100 issues a complete pleasure to work on. - TB

Tim Bradstreet 0
Here is the cover for Criminal Macabre - Cellblock 666 Part III. I won't have this colored until next week so in the meantime enjoy the unexpurgated black and white, cramped hand edition. I know someone who will not be praying for the dead. - TB

Tim Bradstreet 0
Here's a sneak peek (a very cropped version) at my new Wolverine X-Mas Special cover, though this is face/figure only, I've omitted my background elements for this look. I'll post the full thing as soon as I get a go ahead from Marvel. Talk about it here - Hot off the boards feedback or here - TIM BRADSTREET'S WOLVERINE Remember, this is cropped to a pretty tight close-up. I wouldn't do Wolverine unless I got to do the claws too Stay tuned. Kewl - TB

Tim Bradstreet 0
Thought you guys might enjoy this considering we have a lot of Blade Runner fans here at the forum. Threw down this sketch of Roy Batty in a friend's copy of Archetype. This was just a quickie, an hour for pencils and about 90 minutes for inks. Anyway, hope you dig.
