RIP Michael Clarke Duncan (1957-2012)

Recommended Posts

I’m overwhelmingly saddened by the news of Michael Clarke Duncan’s passing. I’ve seen him brighten up the screens with his massive presence and have heard his deep, booming voice for so many years. I feel like I grew up on him. He first caught my attention with his memorable role as the bouncer in A Night at the Roxbury. This kind soul brought John Coffey (“Like the drink, only not spelled the same.”) to life so powerfully in The Green Mile, one of my all-time favorite performances ever. He made me laugh & cry, and seeing his smile warmed my heart. Such an extraordinarily talented man.

54 is way too young. He will be profoundly missed. :(
