I'm not sure what the official word is yet, but here's one of the several articles now found online:

"Darabont is in talks with Thomas Jane (Hung), whose HBO series was recently cancelled after three seasons, to play mobster Bugsy Siegel...

Though Jane was unavailable for the pilot, which wrapped production over the weekend, The Hollywood Reporter has learned he will likely be involved if TNT orders the project to series."

I just found the thread about this in the Comic and Films section of this Forum at

http://rawstudios.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=1803 , but I figure I'll leave this info up here in the TJ section, since this is specifically about him and his relation to the project.

I think this would be a great role for Tom. He deffinatly has the look for that era, not to mention Darabont!

On a side note, I would love to see Tom play an all out villian. I think it would really give him the chance to unleash. We got to see touches of it in Dark Country, and Tom has the range to go all out. I Melt With You proves he can do it all. I think it would be fun to see him go all out mean.

I agree with you. I think it would be cool to see him be a villian. Tom seems like a versitile actor he can play any character and do an excellent job at it.

I'd like to see Tom in anything but I like it best when he's kicking the shit out of people and shooting stuff. Tom and Darabont is a win/win no matter how you slice it.

This news made my day. I had been hoping since I first learned that Darabont was doing this series (in early January of this year) that TJ would take part in it. Personally I think he's a natural to play Bugsy, particularly since Siegel was known to be quite the lady's man. ;) I'm very excited for this series, as I'm still pissed at AMC for their dirty stunt with The Walking Dead.

Btw, I'm new here. I lurked for a while before joining, I prefer anonymity I suppose.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2177611/fullcredits#cast According the the cast list on IDMB it doesnt appear that TJ is coming aboard - But you never know about an uncredited cameo!

IMDb isn't exactly reliable, I mean I could go on there and add John C. Reilly to the cast if I wanted to.

Oh really!!! oh well then add TJ in and taken Simon Pegg out - Then just a small matter of telling everyone concerned lol.
