The GREAT Al Williamson passes away.

He certainly had an incredible career. I think he's influenced anybody who ever even considered putting ink down on bristol.

His work on the Blade Runner adaptation for Marvel remains some of the most inspirational comic work I have in my collection. I love that comic to pieces. As much as I love the film.

I had not heard of Williamson before his death, and now I feel kind of silly for it. As soon as I started to see his work, not only was it amazing, but I grew up looking and getting lost in his work. My Grandma had a box full of stuff left over from when my Uncles were young, and there were a few pages left over from comics and magazines. Sure enough, I remeber seeing his work, and I remember spending hours lying on the attic floor in the summer paging through those. Thanks for the memories, Al.
