HD Motherfuckers!

"And they will personally escort Adolf Hitler to the gates of Hell", awesome. The movie looks like its gonna be great. I can't wait to see it.

Extremely excited for this, Cap is my favorite superhero hands down! Glad to see Marvel finally doing their own thing. DC is going to have to work hard to keep up. After Nolan's last Batman entry, that franchise is going to hibernate a while. Superman by Zach Snyder, we'll see, he's such a bland character. Green Lantern looks OK, Ryan Reynolds would have made a better Flash though...

I personally thing GL will somewhat bomb or not perform as well as anticipated which will allow Reynolds to focus more on Deadpool :)

But yeah, also extremely excited for CAP!

Awesome movie. Easily my favorite of the superhero movies to date...

This movie is awesome! There are so many great moments in this one. I didn't expect it to be so funny, either. Good funny, that is. I couldn't take my eyes off of Chris Evans when he was small; that's great CGI work. Of course, I melt when he's big and buff. ;) And boy could he run!

It's well-written. I love all of the characters. Red Skull is a perfect villain; Hugo Weaving portrays him well.

The look of Captain America is super; his shield came in handy, & he rarely went anywhere without it.

It's a fun & exciting ride for the whole family, and I highly recommend it.

Hope everyone stays or stayed 'til the end of the credits, because it's worth it. B)

Fun ride.

They did it right.

GREAT skinny FX on Steve Rodgers!

Watching the credits it seemed like every FX outfit in Hollywood worked on this picture.

It's just a fucking SHAME that Hugo Weaving totally phoned in his performance.

Did I getcha?

I absolutely love that guy and he was terrific!

Now I need to see THOR.

Skipped Green Lantern. I think my Spidey Sense was right-on there.

Should I see it or wait for DVD?

Congrats to Chris Evans, and to Joe Johnston (a director I've always liked!).

- tb

PS - See how this whole "setting up the character" thing is actually a good thing? You actually give a shit about the characters!

Hopefully the popcorn bean counters are taking note.

Wait for DVD, there may be a director's cut. Word is the studio mucked around with it in editing - taking out character moments, etc...

I'm going to be hated, spat on, and possibly banned for this, but I did not care for this movie. I was really excited for it from all the previews and hype, but I was really let down. The cast was great, and did their jobs well. The cgi and effects were all well done. It was a good story, but I felt it was lacking a soul, and everything was too predictable. It did have some good parts though.

I'm kind of losing faith that the avengers will turn out to be any good at all. I personally feel that every Marvel movie since Iron Man has just not been all they they should be. I haven't been blown away from any movie since Iron man. Maybe I'm just growing into a bitter old man. This is all just my opinion, and I'm not stating it as fact.

Green Lantern did look lame, and I also skipped it. Might check out the dvd.
