  1. This is just a quick question for TJ and TB! I remember a while back (on this site) TJ had mentioned something about a "pipe dream" for a Punisher sequel involving Frank Castle and a female FBI agent whose daughter is kidnapped and Frank's help is enlisted through his release from prison? Correct me if I'm wrong on that. On to the question...any chances of THAT idea being made into a short film?

  2. Wow...AMC can kiss my ass. I won't give this watered down version of a fantastic show any of my time. I respect Mr. Darabont for sticking to his guns, and Mr. Bradstreet for saying everything that I wanted to say in his earlier posts.

  3. Right? The whole time during the film (though there are some darker moments) I kept thinking of Bale, who knew it was so funny to be a crack head ;)

Too bad Mark didn't get a nomination. He's one of a handfull that I think were overlooked. I really thought The Town got screwed over.

I completely agree with you. My girlfriend and I were livid that some of our favorite movies got the cold shoulder, including The Town. The Fighter was such a tremendous movie, it had and has SO MANY good things going for it. It was hands down one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

  4. The pilot was amazing. I was literally glued to the TV the entire time. I actually hooked up my TV to my surround sound (Normally only listen to surround on movies) in anticipation. I can't wait for the next episode. Mr. Darabont, you've done it again!!!

  5. There is another Punisher game that was released online for the PS3 called Punisher: No Mercy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO2QaIA_9EU&feature=fvw

I haven’t played it myself but the reviews for it have been mixed to bad. It’s an multiplayer online game. There is a story mode on it but I've heard it’s a bit of an afterthought and not that compelling. Anyone tried it?

Yeah, I wouldn't waste my time with it. It's bad, and I usually give games and movies alike atleast a fighting chance, but this one I played for 15 minutes, and it got old quick. It's funny, everything I've read about the game has something to the effect of "No, this isn't in anyway tied to Punisher: War Zone." Have a look for yourself.

Hmm, look familiar? I still say the first Punisher game is hands down the BEST comic book based video game that I've ever played. I loved it. I gotta say I've played it lik 8 times over, and I still find myself playing it every now and then.

  6. Yeah, I picked it up at Walmart, as well. Unfortunately, not a single store here in town as the Bluray version of the movie, so I settled for the 2 Disc Collector's Edition, and it's WELL worth the money. Sometimes I feel cheated when I buy "special editions" and they don't have hardly any extras, but Mutant Chronicles is packed with stuff, I HIGHLY recommend it.

  7. It would be a crime if TJ didn't get to play Rick Grimes. That's exactly who I pictured as the character as I read the first trader paperback. I have high hopes for this one, Mr. Darabont is one of my all time favorite directors, and I can't imagine this will disappoint. And yes, I do agree with statements made before, the series is very graphic and disturbing at times, but a fantastic read for anyone who's a fan of the genre. I actually just finished the 7th, and I've got the 8th and 9th ones in transit. I picked up the 10th at my local Hastings!

AMC is close to finalizing one of the richest development deals ever with Frank Darabont to write and direct a series adaptation of the Image Comics graphic novel series "The Walking Dead," written by Robert Kirkman.

Variety says that Gale Anne Hurd of Valhalla Motion Pictures and David Alpert of Circle of Confusion are also on board to executive produce.

The story is set among a group of zombie survivors of an apocalypse who are led by a police officer, Rick Grimes, in search of a safe place to live.

AMC Senior Vice President of Programming Joel Stillerman said the series will stay faithful to the tone of the original novels. "This is not about zombies popping out of closets. This is a story about survival, and the dynamics of what happens when a group is forced to survive under these circumstances. The world (in 'Walking Dead') is portrayed in a smart, sophisticated way."

Hoooooooooooooly crap, best news I've read all day! Whoever put this together deserves a Snickers bar and a liter o' cola. So, TJ and Darabont collaboration, anyone?

  9. Campbell is a great director, and I think its safe to say it'll really be Campbell AND Gibson directing.

The last time that happened, Mel gave us the best crime noir film in decades with PAYBACK.

This sounds very exciting and since we know Mel isn't game for another played out Lethal Weapon sequel, its evident the man wants to make REAL and ORIGINAL films like those he directs.

Can't wait for this one. He's probably one of my favorite actors overall. Speaking of PAYBACK, has anyone had a chance to see the director's cut? I enjoyed it a lot. I can'y say I like the theatrical or director's cut more, they're both good in my book.

  10. the new film will not have Punisher in the title. and when it goes into production, NO ONE will know it's a Punisher film. it'll be totally under wraps, no script will go out, no fanfare. the only time people will figure it out is during a trailer in front of a big summer movie - it'll look like a down and dirty, gritty action film starring Thomas Jane, and people will think, 'oh, he's dyed his hair black for this one.' and 'hey, he's wearing lot of black.' and the last shot, his jacket will blow open just enough, and there it'll be. the SKULL. he'll look right at the camera, pile of dead around him, blood on the walls. and someone off camera will say. "Welcome back, Frank. I see you've been busy."

My wife read this, and said, and I quote "So did they shoot the people who greenlit PWZ and finally gve it back to Thomas Jane?" That was good stuff. Seriously, I wish this would happen, I'd be ecstatic.

  11. My wife and I both laughed a lot with "Fido". Good flick, I would recommend it! Zombieland looks awesome, I was amped when I first read about it, and the trailer really was great. Now when my wife and I play Resident Evil 4 or 5, whenever we get a crazy kill during game play, we say "What do you think, zombie kill of the week?" :P:lol:

  12. Another thing I heard about this one and tend to agree with is that nothing really happened. The threat factor in this one in no way resembled the first 3.

Yeah, I can agree with that. It didn't really pick up until towards the end of the movie.

Terry Crews as Best Supporting Actor In A Non-Living Role!

  13. My most sincere condolences go out to you and your family, Tim. Losing my son last year was the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with in my entire life, and I knew him but 6 days. I can't imagine what you're feeling or going through, but I'll say a prayer for you and yours. God bless.
