  1. Thanks, Irish! (what IS your name?) lol In lieu of blood the color works almost as well, if not so much for the eyeball. :-)
  2. Here's the Wolverine/ninja piece I was referring to in the WOLVERINE thread. Piece almost friggin" killed me! I was told "no blood" on the cover but I STILL think it needs a flying eyeball! LOL
  3. This is why artists use photo ref.....you could NEVER make up that awesome cast shadow in a million years.
  4. FUCK. Just read this in EW. This was my favorite show next to BURN NOTICE. Did I say FUCK?
  5. TIM! I am SO sorry to hear this! My heart goes out to both you & Missy and I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you both peace and strength through this most difficult time. --Joe
  6. Thanks, Noeland! So, did you actually GET a copy? LOL
  7. Thanks, Tim & Noeland! The book is officially on Diamond's confirmed shipping list for today so if anyone is looking for it your local comic shop should have it or be able to get it! If you do pick it up, please drop me a line and let me know what you think!
  8. So, TIM, what did you think of the movie?
  9. I can hear Glen Beck and Sean Hannity screaming already!!! lol
  10. Of that I have no doubt! lol
  11. WTF? And WHERE is this playing? LOL http://www.ifcfilms.com/viewFilm.htm?filmId=1616
  12. Thanks, TB. Chekov and Sulu are a bit off because I had terrible screen grabs to work off of. MUCH harder to get good reference even only 15 years ago.
  13. I could NOT figure out who that was! LOL At least it wasn't Sam Jackson. "I'VE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHERFUCKIN' ROMULANS IN THIS MOTHERFUCKIN' GALAXY!" Brrrr. Just the thought.
  14. No parallel universe. There's been a Hercules in the Marvel Universe since the mid sixties, most often as a member of The Avengers. (these ARE comic books, after all) lol
  15. Some comic stores got it Wednesday, but it's on Diamond's official shipping list for next week. Not sure when major book chains will receive it but Bud Plant should have it next week to. http://budsartbooks.com/prod.cfm/pc/AOJJH/cid/17
  16. I'm totally with you on Urban, and the Bana character COULD have been played by anyone. Pine didn't bother me as I felt he was portraying a really rough, young and cocky Kirk. Too young, maybe, but with at least 2-3 years in between films I think he'll grow into it.Quinto looked amazing as Spock but did lack something in the tenor of his voice. Too much camera movement during some of the action scenes as in most contemporary action movies, but these are all minor ticks for me. I really loved the flick. Scotty was GREAT, too! I can't wait to see it again!
  17. I just saw it, and it was FUCKING INCREDIBLE!! For my generation there IS no other Star Trek than the original crew. I felt like I was 8 years old again as unlike the earlier movies this felt just like the show I loved! Abrams is a friggin' genius! I was sorry it was over and already want to see a sequel! The cast is just phenomenal capturing the inflections and mannerisms of the originals without turning them into parodies (especially McCoy). I really can't express just how much I loved this movie! In tribute to the original series here's a piece I did for a triptych trading card about
  18. Thanks, Mike!! I'll be in SD at the Big Wow booth!
  19. EXACTLY!!!!! I was told I'd be painting Cyclops and Hydras and such, and my first cover has NINJAS IN A BAR! WTF? lol
  20. I LOVE that show!!!!!!! There's a retro station here in Pittsburgh that runs the Darren McGavin "Mike Hammer" show back to back on Sunday nights. It's friggin' great! Kolchak kicking ass! LOL
  21. Thanks, guys! Should have a scan of it sometime this weekend. Oh, and it's the brown and orange costume. :-)
