  1. You know, that's actually kind of funny because he was. In the MK series they show him being dropped in his head as a kid.
  2. I just took it has he was really inept, anxious and jumpy.
  3. Well the Asian and Irish characters had at most four lines between them (except Maginty who had more). But Bulat's accent was genuine.
  4. I just got back from the theater. I had a lot of fun. In my opinion it was the best Punisher movie we've been given so far. Sure, it wasn't the best movie and there were some off bits, but all in all I thought It was one hell of an enjoyable movie. I didn't like the fact that so many villains from the comics were just thrown in and killed out so quickly when they could have had more done with them. There were a lot of bits in the movie that made everyone in the theater say "Oh!" at the same time, like the part with the free-runner and the grenade launcher and Ink's face. The action was great and I dug what story there was (even though what was happened to be a bit thin.) I was just mostly dumb fun. You don't really need to think a lot when you see it. It could have been a bit more serious, but bits of comedy isn't really new to the Punisher. As for acting I didn't think there was anything wrong with it, I heard a lot of people complaining about Julie Benz but I thought she did an alright job. As for Jigsaw and co's accents, many people complain that they were too over the top, but I think that was the point. I thought Jigsaw and LBJ were great villains and great fun at the same time. Stevenson pretty much embodied the Punisher for me, just as I had hoped he would since the beginning. It's a shame that it doesn't look like it's going to do well in the theaters, I would love a sequel.
  5. Thanks for that rundown of the night. I wish I could have been there. No opinions on the movie, though? I'm anxious.
  6. I wonder what Mr. Bradstreet thought of the movie.
  7. I don't know why, but it really bugs me when people, typically filmmakers and people in the film business (critics and such), refer to comics as "graphic novels" like they don't want to use the word "comics". I've seen them do it with Punisher, Watchmen, 300 and Sin City. None of those are graphic novels. I really don't know why it bugs me so much.
  8. I wasn't pointing a finger at Nomad, I was just saying in general. There are dozens of people calling shenanigans, over at IMDb and the GPA too.
  9. Stealin' my thunder. Anyway, I don't know whether to believe the review is legit or not. We have to give it the benefit of the doubt, though. And, you know, if it was a positive review then I don't think anyone would be calling out the word "fake".
  10. Here's the first review (that I know of), it's from Newsarama. Be warned, it ain't pretty. http://www.newsarama.com/film/081125-punis...one-review.html
  11. Sorry to bring this up again, but Fred and TL haven't been banned for good, have they?
  12. I was wondering that, too. He had some film projects he was working on, maybe he's busy with them. I figure the people who would be "really" excited for it would be the Punisher fans rater than just the younger folks. Also, the definition of "younger" can be argued. Some people mid consider people in their early '20s to be "younger". *Thanks for clearing that up, Noeland!
  13. Black Film (a site I've never heard of until now) has some more videos. It features two interviews with Stevenson and West about their characters, two trailers, as well as clips from actual scenes. You can check them out, here.
  14. I was actually talking about the "accepting Jesus" line.
  15. I hated the way Jigsaw died in the first draft. I also hated Frank's little line while he's bleeding out, too.
  16. Yahoo! has a new exclusive video, if anyone wants to check it out you can do so here. Nomad posted it on IMDb, she's probably going to try and post it here, too. Sorry for stealing your idea, Nomad!
  17. His name was Budiansky? I don't remember his name being that in the comics. Silly me.
  18. Most of them are, except Jigsaw. Ennis never used Jigsaw. Budiansky is just a character made up for the film.
  19. What I don't understand is why you're so quick to write off Warzone as a bad movie before you've even seen it. Sure, I'm hoping to goodness it's going to be good, but every time I get to talking about it I get the "but what if" kicking in the back of my brain. In your head it's going to be shit regardless no matter what, there is no other possibility. That's an unrealistic mindset in my opinion.
  20. I'm sorry, but the quick addition of "chicks" cracked me up.
  21. I understand all it says is that he saw it, but you said and I quote, "Miller wouldn't see Warzone if they payed him to." Wow, all it takes for you to lose all respect for someone is their having a different opinion than yours?
  22. The way you worded it when you said "I don't want a hollow Punisher film, I want a good film" made it seem like you did. My mistake.
