  1. Thanks for clarifying that Parker, When I visit the Institute of Mental Health in Chennai on Friday and talk to the psychiatrists, the social workers and all the other 'fucking hacks', I'll let them know they are actually just wasting everybodies time and that they should just turn all the residents loose! Then on the way home, I'll can call into my friend who suffers from depression while he's at work in his high paid job and tell him to ditch all the medication the 'fucking hacks' prescribed him as they are clearly a waste of time!
  2. Um... you do realise that Terry Gilliam is American... and the british are all in favour of supporting special needs animation projects .... just not in the cinema
  3. Yup, nothing for it at that point but to bite the bullet and just get lots of professional counciling.
  4. Wasn't Diary of the Dead a Zombie Road Movie? They sure spent a lot of time in that camper van .... a lot like the first few volumes of The Walking Dead now that I think about it! Hmmm, has the zombie well finally been run dry? How about a Zombies on Wall Street movie? Actually, these days that would be more like a documentary.. which Dairy of the Dead kind of was.... which means I'm talking in circles, so I'm going to stop now before I get into an infinite loop.
  5. All I can think is that they're trying to double dip the UK, to raise the revenue to finish the movie. Got to say I'm always kind of 'peeved' by the practice of double dipping, but the fact that a UK audience is being singled out for it (and the fact that the British director appears to support this) is just bizzare! Where did the idea that a UK audience has less discerning tastes and will happily shell out to see an unfinished product on the big screen (where the unfinished effects will be even more prominent) come from? Lets face it, if it gets a decent size release as a rough cut
  6. To be fair, if you have not even watched an entire episode, it's a little harsh to just write off the whole series. Maybe it's a grower? I remember I wasn't overly impressed with the first episode of Boomtown, but it turned out to be quite a good show... until they cancelled it. And lets be honest, what movie was ever 100% accurate? If I can sit through countless Hollywood actors mangling the 'Oirish' accent for 90+ minutes, surely you can look past a few military inconsistencies.... besides, if they were such good soldiers, they probably wouldn't need to rob a bank in the first place

Man, I'd prefer to pull out my own toenails rather than listen to Bush Jnr (man, Brolin really nailed the voice and mannerisms), bit this looks like it could be fantastic.
  8. Was just thinking the same thing about Dreamcatcher. SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Good director, but what was with the ending? 2 creatures that look like they came from a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episode wrestle and explode? The book had a much better ending that could very easy have been realised.... and they had even built the sets already! For shame, I'd really enjoyed it up to that point. End of SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Funny that TJ
  9. SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Did I mention SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Loved that about The Mist, the fact that as soon as the kid was 'sacrified', the Mist began to disappear around David Drayton. The real horror for me was thinking that consis

    HUNG

Just realised that if Hung gets picked up by HBO, then Dreamcatcher co-stars, Tom Jane, Timothy Olyphant and Damien Lewis will all now have headlined major series for them (Hung, Deadwood & Band of Brothers). Wonder if Jason Lee wants to get in on the act Here's to hoping that Hung is as good as Deadwood and Band of Brothers!
  11. Well, that's honest. Shame though, I really liked DJ Caruso's first theatrical film, The Salton Sea, so (despite Taking Lives) I had high hopes.

What's wrong with Scrubs? The first few seasons were comedy classics (before it got all sentimental). Thank feck there is no laugh track, nothing grates me more than being told 'when' to laugh. I can make up my own mind thanks. All the best comedies avoid them (The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Weeds etc...).
  13. I loved Marcia Gay Harden a lot, but let's face it, she had the easier role, all she had to do was dial it up to 11.
  14. So, now that it's been released, any (spoiler free) comments?
  15. I don't care if he makes 'Care Bear's IV: Cloud Pony Cuddle Land"....It's Ridely Scott, no matter what it will be worth watching (as long as it's not a remake of 'Legend' that is). Ridely Scott can even make Orlando Bloom look competent, imagine what he can do with Crowe playing 2 characters!!
  16. Who cares about all of the above if Raimi hasn't attach.... I can already sense Brett Ratner lurking in the background just waiting for his change to thrash another franchise ... BE AFRAID

Now that's just showing off Sounds like a pretty cool experience (and what a great job title, talk about a pick up line and a half :-). Can't wait to see it. Any idea of the number of episodes are planned? Guessing Alexander Payne is just directing the pilot, but do you have any idea if any other promising directors have been discussed yet?
  18. Might as well complete the set
  19. Sadly I didn't get a chance to see it before I left, but Empire (one of the better UK Film mags) gave it a 4 star (out of 5) review. Most reviews have been pretty consistent, saying it's Guy Ritchie doing what he does best. Was interested to read it's the first part of a planned trilogy. People call Guy Ritchie a one trick pony, but when you do the trick so well, why change I guess. So all going to plan, 2 more cockney wide-boy London crime films innit! Eden Lake got great reviews too. If it makes it to America, you guys should definately check it out. As for the American political cl

  21. Grow a mustache and be ready to break into song while performing a choreographed dance routine, at the drop of a hat... even if in the middle of a gunfight Seriously though, while they make approximately 3000 movies in India every year (more than anywhere else in the world, or so they tell me here), most are in either Hindi or Tamil, catering to the regional markets (India is more akin to a collection of countries, like Europe, rather than like 1 individual country). There are up to 2000 distinct dialects in India. While English is widely understood here, most people are not anywhere ne
  22. What the heck have they done to Olga Kurylenko in that poster? She looks like she's been slapped in the face repeatedly with a dead fish!!!
  23. I've seen Anthony Head on the train a few times (he lives near my town) but I've never summoned the courage to ask him if it'll be rubbish or not.....what can I say, you live in England too long, one does become awfully polite that way!
  24. Why wait for her to go to bed, I'll just slip some sleeping pills into her food later on Nah, she's cool, I just need to 'market' the film to her first
