  1. Well tell him to come back from lunch. This is a Message Board dammit. Seriously though, it's nice to hear both sides from you Tim. The professional and the fan. Good to see the different and some times contrasting view points. Hopefully it doesn't sound like im gushing.
  2. Awsome work as usual Tim. Are your posters eventually going to end up on Plycon's Keep? That would be great.
  3. Thanks for that mediumfan. Can't wait for this to come online. That poster is awsome.
  4. This movie is going to have a great old-school look and feal to it. I think this will be what Indiana Jone: KOTCS should have been (in style and execution).
  5. Nice find. I wish they had more than just that one picture though. Still very cool. Can not wait for this movie.
  6. Plus it had a great story. Just get someone to write up a fairly faithful script with some polish and it would be an excellent film. Good call james.
  7. Thanks a lot for finding this article mediumfan. I am excited about this.
  8. Thanks for getting back to me Tim. Much appreciated. Can't wait for the TPB and the next series. Keep on keeping on bud.
  9. That is god-damned hilarious!!! I was lucky enough to get my question answered. Then I left him a few suggestions on movies and all I can think is that if he saw that post he probably just (mumbled) to himself, "why the hell would I listen to this cunt?". But hey, I'm rambling. Thanks Tom for answering me. I can't wait for the Bad Planet TPB. Any idea when that will be coming out Tim? Ballpark? Also, will you be working with Tom on his next comic? I don't remember the title, just that it's about werewolves. Would you be doing any covers by chance? Thanks in advance.
  10. God I wish I lived on the coast (sometimes). I wonder if this will make it's way to the net or on a dvd at some point in time. Yo, Tom, any news you can give us on this project? Like a future mass release or anything? Much appreciated and thank you kwiat_skye for the news.
  11. Whoever made that picture deserves a fuckin' reward. I thought it was real as well. I do like the idea of Tom starring in The Dark Tower. That would be sweet. On a seperate subject, has anyone read the comic adaptation of The Dark Tower? I was wondering if I should pick it up or not.
  12. Hey Noeland, what exactly have you done as far as films? I love checking out new directors work. Especially in low-budget films. I think thats when a directors true passion and creativity come out, when there is no money. Irish46's praise has got me interested so I hope you don't mind me asking about what you've done and how I can go about checking out some of your work. Just to stay on subject, how about James Wan? He did the first SAW movie but the work he did that I loved was Death Sentence. I know it didn't get great reviews but he made it so damn gritty and dark, and the action was so raw and real that it has some of my favorite action scenes towards the end of it. He's young but I think he has a clear vision and would be good for MALONE. I was origionaly going to say he would be perfect for Punisher but hey why not this one.
  13. That looks amazing. I've always thought it would be awsome if Tom starred in a western. That photo is BA. Hope this all works out. Thanks Raffi for the find.
  14. Allcock, you made a great poster, man. More of an old-school approach. Reminds me of a Drew Struzan kind of. In the layout anyways. Thanks a bunch Tim for getting that up so I (with crappy Internet Explorer) could see it. Much appreciated pal!
  15. It still sends me a page that says an error occured. Dammit! Well as much as I appreciate you trying, what I really can't wait for is to see this film. I love the kinda WWI/trench-war imagery. I love the concept of the trench war and it has been seriously under utilized in film. But back to my point, thanks for trying bud.
  16. Fuck yeah TJ! I can't open the file, which sucks, but hey it's the thought that counts.
  17. Carnahan is a great director and I agree he could have done wonders with this. He was supposed to be on board to do M:I 3 but got screwed over on that. His next is a film about Pablo Escobar. If you read this guys blog you can see how much work and research he puts into a film before he goes ahead with making it. If he would put that same effort into a Punisher film then I could almost guarantee the movie we have all been waiting for.
  18. I'm not really sure how I feel about Lexi. It's nice to see her taking a stand for her work and I loved Green Street Hooligans but I can't help but feel as though she came off as a little......conceited/arrogant. Please, no one hate on me. This is just how I viewed her message. Mike, I really agree with what you are saying about being able to bridge the gap between realistic and comic book.
  19. Hey, I just came to this board to give my opinion of what I saw from the trailer and how I feel about the direction they are taking this franchise. Let's just leave it at that. We have differences of opinion.
  20. All I'm saying is I don't see any depth. I know Castle is a psychotic killer and Ray fits very well in that respect. The look and build are like they're ripped from the pages of the comics. I just don't think he will give Frank any depth in this film. That will be in part due to the script and the direction but also the way it appears that Ray is going to play him. Dumb with a lot of guns. (like a Steven Seagal DVD).
  21. I had posted this in the punisher thread a few hours ago but Raffi had directed me to this page and asked me to post it here. Thanks Raffi for pointing me in the right direction. Here goes: I just watched the trailer for Punisher: War Zone over at SHH and I have to say I am disappointed. Ray Stevenson just doesn't seem to fit the part. I havn't seen him in anything before so I won't say he's a bad actor, just that I personally don't think he fits the role of the Punisher. Jane had the perfect voice for the Punisher (probably why he voiced Frank Castle in the game). Ray just doesn't quite fit. Also, Lexi Alexander's directing doesn't impress me much. The shot of him hanging from a chandelier is like a gigantic rip-off of The Boondock Saints. (I love TBS by the way). And the art direction is just tacky. It is very reminiscent of the two crappy Batman movies that starred Val Kilmer and George Clooney. The only thing that is missing is some rubber nipples. The one good thing is that the fans on the SHH boards seem to mostly be in favor of Thomas Jane being the punisher. It is nice to see you getting support as the only good Punisher to grace the screen. YOU ARE MISSED TOM!!!

  23. I watched Raw Deal just a little bit ago and I have to say I was amazed. The cinematography by John Alton was amazing. Some of the best shots I have seen in a film noir. Dennis O'Keefe was great in the lead role of fugitive Joe Sullivan and in my opinion Marsha Hunt is one of the most beautiful women to grace the screen. The story is raw (no pun intended) and gritty. It was way ahead of its time in subject matter and execution. The ending could not have been more brilliantly done. The only thing that I felt was a little weak was Raymond Burr's performance as the mob boss but I think that his right-hand man Fantail more than made up for it with some great acting done by John Ireland. I would definitely recomend this movie to anyone looking for a great film noir or just a great movie in general. P.S. a big thanks to Kwiat Skye for commenting on Nightmare Alley and Somewhere in the Night. I'll try to get those two watched and comment on them here but I think K-skye already did a great job commenting on them. Also a HUGE thank you to Thomas for recommending these films.
