  1. so, does lexi scream "WHAT HAVE I BECOME" during the commentary before passing out i need to know
  2. It annoyed me how while the movie was being made Lexi was like "Yes, I'm going to make a good movie using the source material." and now she's like "Heh *takes a sip of whiskey*, it was a comic book movie *lights up blunt*, what did you expect? " Only good part in the movie was the flashback scene when Frank's at the graveyard.
  3. Probably fake, but: Oh god yes I can't wait for deep commentary like "I thought of this scene while I was eating mushrooms and saw Ray Stevenson come out of the wall and kill a criminal made out of my own vomit."
  4. The War Zone comic is great, but the detective subplot with what's-her-face feels extremely forced and pointless.
  5. I just read War Journal #26 today and it was pretty bad. "I only kill the guilty not the stupid." Yes, Frank, let the guy in the Stilt-man suit walk around through all of NYC and possibly kill someone, what a genius idea.
  6. I haven't seen it yet since it hasn't been shown on any theaters in my country (Uruguay). I'm not too interested in watching it anyway so it's no big deal. I'll just buy the DVD for u$15 whenever it comes out then watch it once then never again.
  7. I know it's pretty soon to be asking this, but does anyone know when it's going to get a DVD/Blu-Ray release?
  8. Reposting this from the War Zone thread: I decided to check the preview for The Punisher MAX's issue #64 today. If this is too out of topic then I apologize. Am I the only one who hasn't bothered reading this since Ennis left? I read issue #61 and some of the previews that came after that, but the IGN review of #64 said it best "The book's true sense of maturity - emotional maturity, not situational - departed along with Garth Ennis." I can't help but feel that I'm reading some sort of comic book aimed at 13 year olds who love violence. Ennis wrote about things that happen in real life like the Slavers story arc, BORN was amazing as well. Yet after he left all we've been getting is a generic Punisher kills the bad guys plot. This wouldn't be a bad thing since Welcome Back, Frank was amazing. However, WBF kept things fresh by having many characters and various plots going on at the same time. Girls in White Dresses just feels... generic. The plot boils down to a group of people killing girls, am I supposed to feel angry and go "Oh god I hope Frank kills them!"? Because making antagonists kill children to show how evil they are is the most unoriginal thing you can do (it was already bad enough in Man of Stone).
  9. Woops, I didn't notice that thread. I'll post it there, feel free to delete my post if you want.

  11. Where can I find Hensleigh's draft? Hook me up, I'll give a candy bar in return.
  12. I think it'll do ok. Critics will hate it but people will probably like it and the movie will end up getting plenty of DVD/Blu-ray sales.
  13. I saw a War Zone billboard today while playing Far Cry 2. I'd have taken a picture if it wasn't because grenades were being thrown in my direction.
  14. I just checked the Lexi Alexander video with the short gunfight clip and I have to say the editing is terrible. When it switched to the scenes with Frank shooting in random directions and people dying one after the other it felt like I was watching some sort of action movie parody. The slow motion grenade scene was really unneeded too.
  15. Can anyone who has played the game and seen the movie make a list about the things that were changed? I remember when the trailers came out and everyone was talking about how it was going to be amazing. Funny how life works.
  16. What's wrong with Doom and Half-Life? They're great. Right now I'd be more worried about the plot of the film than whether the guns he uses are realistic or not.
  17. There won't be much to talk about until December. The main Punisher WZ site got updated though.
  18. The "I'd like to get my hands on God" line comes from a Widowmaker issue where he kills a couple who record child porn movies then sees how the kids minds are already completely fucked and there is no hope for them. It's a pretty good issue, too bad the story arc itself was a mixed bag.
  19. All Star Batman is the greatest comic book ever made.
  20. Except that at the end of Year One he gets his shit together.
  21. The "Frank killing innocents" story device needs a rest. In less than two years we got the mediocre WJ arc where Frank kills an innocent woman, then now in MAX we get him killing children and in the movie he (apparently) kills an undercover cop. Plus, he also accidentally killed a couple in the final War Zone story arc back in the early 90's and at the end he turns himself in. So what he'd do if he killed an innocent is not exactly a mystery anymore. Something like that one-shot released a few months ago where Frank has to kill some guys in a boat would be great, it was a perfect mix of the MK and MAX series, but instead we get Frank being turned into a noir movie reject who drinks bourbon while thinking about his family.
