Stand in the Rain by Superchick

Hey, thanks K-skye, I enjoyed that. I checked out this band a little and I think I'll pick up some of their stuff.

I also enjoyed this tune from them.

I'm glad you liked them. They're relatively new and I've just started getting into their music.

The video for Nothing Natural by Lush:

Miki and Emma, the main singers and song-writers of the U.K. band, have expressed their extreme dislike for the glamorous look of the video, but I think it reflects the alluring nature of the tune...

For a more stripped down, live feel, check out the video Superblast! by Lush - exhilerating:

I LOVE Lush! Saw them at Lollapalooza back in '91 or '92. Fucking great band to see/hear live.

I can take or leave Dave, but I liked the music with that one. Thanks.

Your welcome. Dave's music isn't for everyone and I can understand that. I've heard that song on the radio before but I had never seen the video to it until a month or two ago. I like the Black&White pop Jazz club look to it.

San Diego band P.O.D. is offering a free download of their new single "Shine With Me"—no strings attached—before the song officially goes for adds at radio on July 15. That's a link to the e-card that has a link to the free download. Just in case anyone is interested.

I'm a huge fan of Shinedown. Just fuckin' love em.

The new single is a return to harder music for them, and I dig it.

The video part of this is a little manic and silly. Just leave it on in the background.

:)

Yeah, the 1st cd was incredible, the 2nd was pretty lame. This release I'm hoping is going to be a change back to the harder stuff. This tune is freeeeeeaking awesome...it was nice of Noelandlovesguns to share the KARaoke video with us...if you want the official video try this one...

I love finding new music I havn't heard before. I'm a huge fan of Folk Rock but if you want some cool sounds try out Tom Vek http://youtube.com/watch?v=-Nx1ocgnd4A and http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pv4HemhMHbA&feature=related and one last Tom Vek one http://youtube.com/watch?v=XDy6ILWLl5g&feature=related. Also another band to check out for something new is Godspeed You! Black Emporer

and
. They also did the awsome musical piece from 28 Days Later towards the end of the film. I know I posted a lot but I like it and hope you do too. Awsome.

It is. It's a harder sound than the first CD, and still very different. Less melodic and slick sounding, more aggresive and organic sounding. Has a couple crappy tunes on there, but only a couple.

I bought it on I-tunes this afternoon and have been listening to it while drawing.

Fred, that's a decent cover. He made it his own. That's one of my favorite songs, and I must admit when it started out I thought "Don't put that fucking sample in a Johnny Cash song . . ." but he won me over once he started singing it.

I'm a big fan of Everlast's bluesy stuff otherwise. I really like it. Not a rap fan though, so I tune out with some of his music, but I really dig his work a whole lot. He's never boring, that's for sure.

I like the Black Stone Cherry stuff you posted, have to check out more. Thanks for the heads up amigo. But, are they like 16 or what? Man, they look like kids. I hate people younger than me who are also more talented.

:P

Hahahaha.

Pete Townshend's "Lifehouse Chronicles" is good. I haven't checked in a while, but it used to be available through his website. It's great listening to Pete's version of some classic Who from the 1971-78 era.
