Recommended Posts

JoBlo's 150th Podcast - features TOM!! And I Melt With You director Mark Pellington:

Here's the link; Tom and Mark Pellington start talking at the 1 hour and 9 minute mark and it goes to past 1 hour 18 minutes...

Tom gives an awesome in-a-nutshell view of I Melt With You and Mark talks great music.

And I love the "I want my cab back." riff on Arrested Development!

Came across this little interview, nothing really new in it except this bit.

DF - Do you know if the director's cut of The Punisher will come out on Blu-ray (so far it's only on DVD) ?

TJ - No idea. We saw a version of the film with no music, until the final sequence. That was the best version of the film I ever saw. I'd love to see that released.

If the extended cut does eventually get a Blu-ray release that would be an interesting option to be able to view the movie.

Here's the link to an article with quotes from Tom that made the AOL front page in the Entertainment section a week or so back. The article is titled "'I Melt With You': Thomas Jane, Jeremy Piven Face Their 40s And Their Fears". It's spread through the Internet a bit, at least in the entertainment news because it deals with ageism in Hollywood.

Here's the link to an article about Tom from the IndianExpress with quotes from him.

It's a pretty good article that goes over Tom's earlier years and there are several quotes from Tom about that time period, his acting, and Hung mixed in there:

Tom is making headlines again, at least in the AOL Entertainment section, which posted this lovely subject line today: "Thomas Jane: Americans Are Brainwashed, I Lost The Will To Live"

Tom has some pretty powerful things to say about society vs. the individual and conformity vs. freedom...

I am glad he didn't do what he wanted to do when he got his DUI. The world would of never been the same without him.I to have had someone near and dear to me try to do what he tried to do twice as a matter of fact and it nearly killed me.

Eat My Podcast - Episode 1: Thomas Jane

http://www.eatmypodc...-1-thomas-jane/

He was such a delight to listen to... humorous and bright...

Kudos to you Thomas for never regretting your past. Your past is what makes you!

Just love that you don't give a rats ass about what anyone thinks of you (love your quirkiness and that you are who you are...true to yourself). Anddd especially for your creative mind. Always looking forward to what's next. Keep em' coming...

For an actor that has been around the last 25 years...he is sure is humble as they can get. I adore that in you.

Stay true Mr.Jane,

Paola

p.s you sound like the sweetest daddy :)

Meditation saved my marriage, my sanity, hell, no doubt it saved my life. Thank You Alan Watts.

I'd like to hear more of Tom's thoughts on the Government and what a massive cluster fuck we're in. And I agree completely on his thoughts about schools in this country. I do think there are good teachers out there trying to do good work but the system really ties their hands. As a country our priorities are fucked. If we're lucky we can look after our own, outside of the government parameters.

My kids have good teachers but we supplement their educations heavily at home. You have to really cut through the ridiculous propaganda to get to stuff that really matters, to what you hope is the truth.

We learned a long time ago that we can't trust the system to provide our kids with the individuality and tools necessary for a fullfilling life. I don't know if we can either but we can try like hell to make sure they don't end up zombies.

It's funny how the interviewers fall silent as soon as they talk to him about his passions. It takes them out of their comfort zone. I wish I had the confidence to talk about the things I truly love, but which I would fear would alienate me from others.

I use to be like that when I was younger afraid people would think I was weird or odd when I would talk about things I really loved. Now I don't care what people think. I have this saying you either like me for who I am or you don't. Your loss if you don't.

Here's the link to a recent Interview (text, but from a phone interview) with Tom and Tim where they go into more detail about what's up their sleeve(s) - like The Magnificent Death, an Alien Pig Farm 3000 movie, The Lycan, and the hold-up of the Glen Sherly movie - and more. Check it out here:

Podcast interview with Tom after Comicon, on the night the short was released. Discusses the short, some history of the movies, cars, cigars, and how to keep the movie under your hat (literally). Very appreciative that he took the time to talk directly with the fans, really cool guy.

Link to detailed article about Tom and RAW Studios w/ quotes from Tom:

"Thomas Jane isn't some comic industry poseur, a celebrity cashing in on the graphic novel bandwagon. He's a serious comic historian whose Raw Studios--the indie comic publishing and entertainment production company he runs with artist Tim Bradstreet--is starting to make waves."

Okay, sorry for cross-posting this, since it's also in the RAW Studios section, Rusty Blades thread of this Forum, but I'm just too psyched to leave only one message about the fact that I got the chance to interview Tom for the Rusty Blades EP for the music site I write for, Delusions Of Adequacy! :D

Tom is sooo crazy-busy, yet he took the time to reply to all my pestering questions. I really appreciate that. You can read the interview at this direct link, and please, feel free to spread the word and link around so that more peeps find out about this EP and what Tom's up to!

"Best known for starring in The Punisher and HBO’s Hung, the actor/director/RAW Studios media company owner opens up about his new venture as music producer of Rusty Blades EP."
