Just to add to this news, Tom's going to be on the BJ Show, a radio program out of Washington state, at "9:20" on "Thursday". I'm assuming they mean this Thursday...?

I don't know the details, or how or if you can listen in online, but here is the link to that news:

If anyone can figure out more details, like how to listen in, please post here. Thanks! :D

Love this interview, even if it's cut short. Love what Tom's eating during it, kicking back in Malibu... :P

Jen

I thought that part (about looking at the ocean and eating prosciutto and melon) was a clip of his previous appearance on the show. Wasn't it? Or was I hearing wrong? Although he did talk about getting terrible cell-phone reception where he was. Coulda been Malibu. <_<

So - Tom - Tim - whoever else went to the Con - How was it?? :D

I've only been able to find a few blogger posts that mention Tom very briefly:

"Attended the Thomas Jane panel. He is an interesting dude for sure."

and

and another blogger twitters:

"Thomas Jane just walked by my table and didn't buy anything..."

and

Another bloggers says:

"Only celebrity I saw were Lou Ferrigno, Erin Gray, and Thomas Jane..."

Tom and I had a ball at the show.

Not that we brought that much but we sold out of EVERYTHING in the first several hours of the show.

It was insane, but in a good way.

Tom was pretty fried after working until 1:30AM Friday night/Saturday morning on HUNG.

Then he had to get up at 6AM to fly up to Seattle.

He came directly to the show from the airport, around 12:30pm, never even went to the hotel first.

Just walked in and was greeted by hundreds of fans waiting to take pics and get autographs.

People are always shocked when they discover Tom doesn't charge for signing and generally will ALWAYS let folks take photos.

And that is whether they find him at the booth, or stop him while he's walking around the show, or out in front of the building trying to take a break from the action.

Was a nice weekend, a very well run show, great fans, lots of Bad Planet and Pig Farm fans up there.

We laid low Saturday night and had a quiet dinner and then went to see the new Scorsese flick like a coupla chicks ;)

I think I signed about 10,000 Punisher comics.

I did free sketches on Sunday.

Tom went to the Airport after the show with Ferrigno. The Hulk was actually starstruck ;)

I left on Monday with my pal, Mark Texeira. Mark's a fucking scream.

Good times.

Thanks for the deets Tim! :D It's sounds like it was another hectic, but fun event for you. I hope your hand/arm has recuperated after the signing!! ;)

Take care,

Finally, a recap of Emerald City Comic Con from a blogger with a great perspective of the event - and a TON about Tom, including fresh news, blurry pic of Tom, and a sketch he did during the panel talk!! The tidbits from the blogger post is that Voyage to a Savage Planet for SyFy is dead in the water, but may arise in different medium in the future and he's going to be the voice of Jonah Hex in upcoming animated feature. The Stan Lee segment is great too...Here's the link:

"Everyone sat and waited patiently for Thomas Jane to arrive, and when he did he was just about as cool and level-headed as an actor can be."

and

Oh, and then there's this delightful, giddy fanboy account of meeting Tom at the Con:

"...I *instantly* know that it's Thomas Jane. I swallow my Fanboy desire to fawn over him ..."

and

Lastly, a great pic of Tom from the Con and talk about a comic book called Acts of Violence:

Thomas Jane as Wolverine?! Wow, that actually coulda been pretty cool. I always thought Mr. Jane was too gruff to play a Captain America, but with sideburns, leather jacket, bad attitude and claws? He would have killed that part. More so than Hugh Jackman I think and I love Hugh Jackman!

Tom was awesome at The Con. In fact were it not for him there I would have never found this site or his awesome comics, which I am checking out right now. His panel was amazing, almost as much as quickly meeting him at his booth was, and I was in the row directly behind where his Mickey Mouse Punisher Skull Airplane thing landed. I wanted to charge forward for it, I had the opportunity, but alas I did not want to run over the people in front of me. Sometimes it sucks to be considerate in not crushing people.

Oh wow. A welcoming from Tim himself! I'm glad I joined up here. Not to entirely derail this thread, but I have to say I look forward to all the works coming through RAW. So far I am amazed at what I'm seeing and I don't even have an issue to me yet lol

Tim and Tom,

Thanks for taking some time to hang out and talk with my kids. They made me go buy frames as soon as we left so that we could hang up everything you guys signed. It's super cool that you guys aren't all caught up in being celebrities. Love the Punisher, and I hope that next movie has Tom back in it. (Less than pleased with the most recent one...)

Thanks again, and we will definitely come see you next year!
