The Book of Eli

Recommended Posts

Finally saw the film and was deeply impressed! Great to see Chris Browning square off with Denzel. Great story and the cinematography was just amazing. The gun battles and fight scenes were some of the most dynamic I have seen in some time and that New Mexico landscape is just phenomenal on camera. I miss being out there.

Hats off to Gary and company on a great flick.

It's a movie that stays with you too. I saw it in the theater and had been chompin' at the bit to see it again as soon as possible. The story only gets better upon repeated viewings. The performances take on a whole new tone once you have a deeper understanding of the characters. And the visuals are so well done, so layered, you notice new stuff too. :)

I rented this last week and loved it. First off the cinematography is gorgeous. It’s one of the best looking films I’ve seen in awhile. The action scenes were cool as hell (I love the use of single shots in some of them). The twist was a real :o moment that I really wasn’t expecting, and when you think back over the film it actually holds up. Denzel was class but I kind of wish Gary Oldman had done a little more with his role outside of just been an evil asshole. On the other side I thought Ray Stevenson did a really interesting job with a role that easily could have been “Muscley Henchman”. I’ll have to pick up the Blu Ray of this someday soon.

P.S. I know for a fact that a KFC wet wipe wouldn’t last for 30 years. I had one in my wallet for about a year and when I tried to use it was like a sheet of paper. Just thought I’d share that fact with everyone ;)

What if you kept the wet naps in a cool, dry place? This calls for an experiment! I will see you all in 30 years...or a few days. I get bored easily :(
